We will be using our Facebook page to showcase new products and custom items we produce. We will also add updates to let you know when there are new blog posts that you might want to check out! Our shopping website will include “Like” buttons on all of our product pages. This will be a great way for you to share the products you like with your Facebook friends.

For our Twitter account, we are going to keep it simple and use it more as a notification for when we have new products and when items are back in stock for purchase.

Question: Can you make me a truss rod cover with a different font?

Truss rod covers can be engraved with almost any standard Windows font (ie. Truetype or Openfont). Fonts that will work best have simple and clean lines. Before you specify a font for an order you need to get permission from us first. We want to verify it will engrave properly. It would also help if you would include a link or attach the actual .ttf file to your email. We will not use any font that needs to be purchased by us.

A few good resources for free fonts are www.dafont.com, www.fonts101.com, and www.fontpark.net. All three sites give you the ability to preview the fonts, using your text, before downloading. This is very helpful when trying to find the perfect font!

Question: How do I order a truss rod cover that isn’t available on your website?

This is a common question. The truss rod covers that we offer on our website are pre-made to fit popular guitar models. You can email us at support@philadelphialuthiertools.com with the make and model of your guitar. It would also help to include a picture or link of a similar truss rod cover. We do have many templates on file that can be used. A few things will happen next:

1. We send you a pdf for your approval.
2. You send us your original truss rod cover to copy. The original will be returned with your order.

We can work with a trace but prefer to work with the original truss rod cover. Working with the original allows us to ensure the end product will fit your guitar perfectly.

The charge for this service is $24.99+ plus shipping. Price depends on the complexity of the job.

Added new Gibson Truss Rod Covers screws

Currently if you need a replacement truss rod cover screw for a Gibson guitar your only solution was to buy a new genuine Gibson truss rod cover. As a repair shop, these small screws always end up missing during a truss rod adjustment.

We have searched all over for a supplier of nickel and gold #3 x 1/4″ without any luck. Apparently the size isn’t commonly used by anyone but Gibson. The only solution was to have the screws custom ordered and plated for us. We also had them produce other screws, bolts and nuts.
